RETELLING THE OLD STORIES...
On the rugged north coast of Ireland- a land of giants and banshees, shipwrecks and castles, myth and legend- stylist and illustrator Sara O’Neill combines her intricate pencil drawings with the colours of the coast to create a range of contemporary Irish prints on sumptuous silk twill. Éadach blends the ancient art of drawing with digital technology and handcrafting to produce limited edition wearable art, adored by models and musicians, artists and A-listers.
The Lost Souls print was born of sailors’ stories and maritime superstition. Inspired by that special breed of men and women who live on the edge, carving out their lives on harsh coastlines and at sea, from the shadowy memory of the Victorian shipwreck The Devereux at Whiterocks beach, to daily life on the windswept Causeway Coast and the tales of the seamen and surfers, ocean explorers and adventurers who dwell here. And one of those adventurers looms larger than most in the stormy seas where the Atlantic meets the northern coast of Ireland.
CREATE YOUR OWN LEGEND...
Al Mennie has been named ‘one of the best big wave surfers of all time’ in the Sunday Times Magazine. Big Wave Surfer, Paddleboarder, Ocean Explorer and Adventurer, Al discovered and pioneered many of the Irish big wave spots and has tackled legendary waves around the world
including Mavericks and Nazare, where he was one of three men in the water the day the biggest wave ever ridden crashed into the bay. He thrives in the wild waters off his native Irish shoreline and his love of adventure and the coast make him the perfect Éadach ambassador.
Please note that due to the nature of silk and with the scarves being printed in small batches that colours can vary slightly, although we try our best to ensure continuity. Due to this and computer/ phone screen settings the colours can look a little different to above. If you require a specific colour or shade we would advise purchasing from one of our retailers so you can view the product in real life before purchase.
